Reflecting on April, Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention Month

We are so grateful for a coastal community that circles around our most vulnerable children. Thank you to the counties and coastal cities we serve who came together to raise awareness by making proclamations declaring the month of April as Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention Month!

CASA Introduces Linda Perkes, Secondary Handler for Remi the Courthouse Facility Dog

At the end of April, Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention Month, CASA is proud to introduce Advocate Supervisor Linda Perkes as a newly ADI-certified secondary handler, who will be able to assist in accompanying children to Harrison County Youth Court. Special thanks to Danielle at Canine Companions in Orlando, FL for spending two days with this crew and for her work training and certifying this bigger and better Courthouse Facility Dog Team!
