(Diamondhead, October 6, 2023)-CASA of Hancock County is partnering with the City of Diamondhead to host its third annual Red Bean Cook-Off from 4-7pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023, on the grounds of Diamondhead City Hall (5000 Diamondhead Circle in Diamondhead). 18 teams are vying for the title of having the Best Red Beans in Hancock County. Other awards include best cornbread, best non-traditional red bean dish, best decorated booth, and
people’s choice. The $10 entry fee allows you unlimited red beans. Soft drinks, water, beer, and homemade desserts will be available for purchase. This family friendly event also includes live music by The Dave Mayley Band. Attendees are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs, but no outside drinks are allowed.
