CASA of South Mississippi has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Danos Foundation to support CASA advocate volunteer training and retention efforts in 2026. This generous investment strengthens CASA’s ability to recruit, train, and retain dedicated advocates who stand up for children in foster care across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
On January 6, 2026 CASA of South Mississippi’s Executive Director, Cynthia Chauvin, and Program Director, Lauren Saucier, traveled to Danos Headquarters in Gray, Louisiana, where Danos leaders presented grant awards and welcomed representatives from multiple CASA programs supported by the foundation.
Grant awards were presented to CASA Lafourche, CASA Terrebonne, and CASA of South Mississippi, highlighting a shared commitment to supporting children and families throughout the region. We are incredibly thankful to the Danos Foundation for this meaningful investment in our mission. Partnerships like this help ensure children in foster care have consistent, trained advocates by their side, amplifying their voices and helping to change the trajectory of their lives.
